"Gwaihir" is a Class 40 Rodger Martin design built of Corecell foam and S-glass. She was built by Al Fresco Composites with the intent to race around the world. I had the opportunity to design most and install all of her systems. Below is the backside of the door holding her main electrical panel located at the navigation station.
Next is a shot of valve system that allows sea water to be pumped electrically or manually into or out of four water ballast compartments as well as acting as a dewatering pump if necessary.
Removing the boat from the shop it was built in, heading to the boatyard for finishing touches.
The big moment about to arrive, launch time.
